In 2008, Jean-Louis and Jackline Texier bought this 19th century estate and decided to renovate it. Thanks to their passion and their work, we are proud to propose quality wines elaborated with traditional methods. Our wines are made from the typical grapes varieties of the Bordeaux region with 75% of Merlot, 20% of Cabernet Sauvignon, and finally 5% of Cabernet Sauvignon. We are proud to respect the traditional wine making method: ploughing, low yield, leaf removal by hand, harvesting by hand when grapes are ripe, selection of the better grapes by density and ageing in oak barrels. With patience Château Palais Cardinal embelishes, acquires fine tannins and deep color, the merlot becomes more elegant, as fine as silk.
