Am blessed that my family has been in the wine business since 1919. My grandfather was sent to Italy at a young age and placed under the tutelage of his Aunt Teodolinda, who supervised the household staff for Pope Pius XI. Teodolinda was passionate about hospitality and oversaw the cellar for the Pontiff. My grandfather mirrored her enthusiasm. Their wisdom was passed on to my mother, who motivated me and my brothers. Growing up, we were surrounded by wine and family tradition. I’m a zealot and enjoy vino daily! My career in the beverage industry has given me tremendous joy as well as inspiration from some of the best in the business. Without this, BILL’S BLEND would not be possible. My personal dream of creating a wine became a reality while attending the Washington Grape Growers Association annual fundraiser. Winning a bid for one-ton of Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and a French/American oak barrel was a life-changing experience. The first vintage of BILL’S BLEND was produced and released for family and close friends. It was a smashing success
