The Portuguese family-owned business is run by the winemaker Luis Duarte (awarded 3 times best winemaker in Portugal) and his wife Dora Simoes. The company was founded in 2007 and has its base in the Alentejo wine region, sub-region of Reguengos de Monsaraz, where their vineyards are located. Their wine brands are widely exported: Rubrica, Rapariga da Quinta, Monte do Carrapatelo, Artefacto and Maravista.
